Turbo Notify in OpenCode

In OpenCode, Turbo Notify comes in as an MCP server, added with a command, and the virtual attendant skill is installed with npx skills. OpenCode has no skill marketplace and no attendant runner: the attendant works in assisted mode, with a person approving every answer, and nothing is answered while OpenCode is closed.

  • A Turbo Notify account with a connected number (quickstart).
  • OpenCode installed.
  • For the skill: Node.js 22.20 or newer (required by npx skills) and Python 3.9 or newer.

The MCP server:

Janela do terminal
opencode mcp add turbo-notify --url https://mcp.turbonotify.com

The command writes the entry to opencode.json. Check the result with opencode mcp list.

The skill:

Janela do terminal
npx skills add turbo-notify/agent-skills -a opencode

Without -g, the skill is installed in the current project’s folder (.agents/skills/), which OpenCode reads. With -g, it goes to ~/.config/opencode/skills/ and applies to every project.

  • With your account: run

    Janela do terminal
    opencode mcp auth turbo-notify

OpenCode opens your browser. Sign in to Turbo Notify and approve access; the command ends with Connected. OpenCode lists the server as connected even before you sign in, and it does not offer the sign-in again when a tool call is refused, so run this command once.

  • With an API key: create the key in API Keys (opens in a new tab) and add the header Authorization: Bearer YOUR_KEY to the server’s entry in opencode.json, as OpenCode’s documentation describes for remote servers. Treat the key like a password.

Scopes and keys are in MCP server.

Run opencode mcp list: turbo-notify should appear in the list, with its status. Then ask the agent: “List my WhatsApp numbers on Turbo Notify.” It calls list_numbers, which only reads. Nothing is sent.

For the skill, ask: “Set up the Turbo Notify virtual attendant.”

Janela do terminal
npx skills update

The MCP server needs no update: the address is always the same.

  • Assisted mode only, with you present. Every answer needs approval.
  • The tools follow the API limits: 600 requests per minute per key or sign-in, plus the plan’s quota and sending pace. See MCP server limits.
  • A tool call from the agent after signing in. The sign-in itself was run end to end on 3 November 2026 (OpenCode 2.1.4); the call was not, because it needs a model provider.
  • The skill inside OpenCode. The install folder follows the npx skills and OpenCode documentation, and we have not run the attendant in this agent.
  • The header with the API key in opencode.json. The file’s format differed between the OpenCode versions we saw, so this page does not reproduce it: check the documentation for your version.
